Father's Day Weekend

NS consumed fresh shell peas from Grandmommy and Granddaddy's garden to her heart's content :The gang's all here--including CP's paternal grandparents (NS' only living great-grandparents):

The excuse for getting together was a Father's Day picnic gig performed by yours truly, CP and brother-in-law Z. Here we are on the final song, joined by NS (she was dancing the rest of the time):
The very next week, we said good-by to the trusty red truck and officially became a single-vehicle family:

Good-bye, apartment. Hello, springtime.

NS in a shawl that I wore as a toddler (probably hand-knit by my great aunt) and a hat from my friend KS:
NS explores the sandbox:
I can't decide which hat is my favorite!:
On sunny weekends, the bikes beckon:
Uh-oh...caught playing with Bandida's food and water again:

Ha! I'm Back.

Eleven weeks have passed since my last post. I've had lots to write about: moving from an apartment to a house in the country, holding a part-time teaching job, getting a kitten, watching my daughter's marvelous growth and listening to her linguistic capabilities skyrocket, performing fun music with my husband and brother-in-law, celebrating a birthday with family, tending a fertile garden and preserving the first fruits of the season in our new chest freezer.

The trouble is, I'd rather be picking blueberries with my daughter than sitting at a screen and writing about it.

Finally I'm stealing a few minutes in a ditch attempt to catch up my readers (if there are any faithful still out there!) on the past several months, in a series of captioned photos and videos, not necessarily in perfect chronological order.

Enjoy!
