Well, yes, it was a break from spring, if you want to look at it that way. Eleven and a half hours in the car put us in another zone, meaning that we woke up to a couple inches of snow in April. In spite of it all, we had fun with NS' cousins, auntie and uncle.

While we were there, NS had a couple of rough nights and a miserable day or two. We got through it with a few doses of trusty Tylenol. It turns out she was working on a couple of teeth:
Grinding dried corn into meal with an old-fashioned hand grinder--quite the work-out! We were rewarded with a scrumptious dinner of buttermilk cornbread and chili:

"Hey, kids, let's make a snowman," GG and I suggested. It turned out to be more of a grown-up activity after all:
